KastleRock came into existence in the early months of 2024, opening its gates with a grand “soft” launch on April 25, 2024. But long before the sim had walls, lights, or a dance floor, it existed as a shared vision between two creatives bound by music, art, and an unwillingness to compromise who they were.

That vision belonged to Kaleb Ravenborn and Chaos Ravenborn.

Kaleb brought the fire.

Kaleb’s internal, intense Fire, wanted a place where an adult could come to truly be an adult. A place where a DJ was not boxed in by formats, or censored rules. No need for anyone to wear a costume that does not fit them. Kaleb wanted this sim to be someplace where music came first. The club was to be for free expression of ones voices, honesty and where a DJ could play whatever moved there created expression with no apology.

Chaos brought the magic.

Chaos has a magic that allowed her to create this wonderful atmosphere any architect would be proud of. The quiet force behind the mood and mystery that makes KastleRock what it is inspired Kaleb to burn hot with ideas. Chaos shaped them, refined them and anchored them into something tangible. She had the eye, the balance and was the keeper of the aesthetic soul that makes the clubs heart beat. Many times having to keep Kaleb focused and on task, her job was not easy by any measure.

Once the foundational build was complete the sim opened. New ideas ignited almost immediately. One venue became two, themes seemed to fall into place and the spaces expanded. KastleRock grew organically, shaped by constant conversation, creative trust, and a shared love for music and visual storytelling.

So who are the minds behind this place?

Let us introduce you.

Kaleb Ravenborn

Kaleb Ravenborn, also known as DJ Ravenborn or simply Kaleb to friends, was rez’d on January 19, 2022. His creation followed a real-life divorce and a return to Second Life after time away. His main, Marc Wachmann, rez’d in 2006, had once owned Hammerjacks club in the early days of SL, and the pull toward music and club culture never truly faded.

At first, Kaleb wasn’t sure what he wanted to build. He wandered into a male strip club looking for work as both a DJ and a dancer. The club itself isn’t important. What mattered was discovery.

As both DJ and dancer, Kaleb found something electric. He learned how to flirt with an audience through movement and music at the same time. The dance became an extension of the sound. The sound amplified the dance. It was connection in real time.

That freedom didn’t last.

He was told he could DJ or dance, but not both. One had to go. So Kaleb left.

Certain he was onto something, he searched for a club that would let him do both. None would. The idea was “too much of an advantage.” What started as a curiosity became a conviction. Somewhere, there needed to be a space where expression wasn’t limited by fear or control.

That ember never went out.

Chaos Ravenborn

Chaos was rez’d on April 1, 2007. A solitary soul in many ways, her Second Life history is hers to share, but it is deep, rich, and layered with experience. She carried with her a quiet intensity, a refined artistic instinct, and an understanding of atmosphere that cannot be taught.

Chaos didn’t chase the spotlight. She shaped it.

The Collision

Not long after Kaleb’s creative frustrations began to crystalize, Chaos entered his orbit. One evening, while Kaleb was at his Linden home, the legacy name Phenobarbiedoll Rosca appeared on his radar.

The name alone stopped him.

It was striking. Intentional. Intelligent.

Curiosity led to a profile view. The age, the history, the presence were intriguing enough to warrant a simple hello. That hello became a conversation. The conversation became a connection. And that connection became love.

They partnered quickly, both personally and creatively.

For nearly two years, Kaleb and Chaos worked side by side as DJ and host, first at Headbangers. As the Ravenborns, they pushed for something deeper than just playing tracks. When the shared vision couldn’t fully take shape there, they moved on.

They found a home at The Twizted Rose, owned by Mercie, a remarkable DJ with a warm heart and a profound love of music. It was here that The Ravenborns Show truly came alive.

Music. Comedy. Conversation.

What happened between Kaleb and Chaos offstage translated into undeniable chemistry onstage. They weren’t performing roles. They were being themselves, and the audience felt it. Kaleb’s quit wit was matched by Chaos and that fire they had between them was obvious when they were on the stage together. Sadly, Twizted Rose closed due to real-life circumstances, leaving the pair without a creative home.

Instead of settling, they made a decision.

If they wanted true freedom, they would build it themselves.

The Birth of KastleRock

KastleRock was born from commitment.

Both Kaleb and Chaos loved darker themes. Gothic textures. Medieval tones. Atmosphere that felt ancient and alive. The name came naturally. The logo was created by the talented Cobalt Fly. Branding was locked. A full sim was purchased. The work began. The love shared between them grew and found it’s way into every prim
and every mesh they put down.

They chose the best artists and creators available. Every piece was deliberate. Every space designed to feel lived in, not staged.

From the beginning, KastleRock was defined by one unshakable rule: Adult only.
No age play. No exceptions. Anyone could present however they wished. Furry, demon, vampire, anything at all. Identity didn’t matter. Respect did. The Ravenborns wanted a place free of judgment and free of drama. The love they had for each other and their common shared beliefs that all people in SL should have a place to live, love, laugh and be themselves was key in the very fabric of KastleRock. You can see this everywhere you go and there is a LOT to see here.

April approached fast, and since both founders shared the month, Kaleb was determined to open before it ended. Working night and day together (most of the time naked lol) they were able to get everything to a point where they felt it was time to open it to everyone to enjoy..

Opening night delivered.

The heartbeat started that evening. KastleRock wasn’t just another venue. DJs were allowed on the dance floor, among the VIPs, among the people they were there for. The barrier between performer and audience dissolved. Music became shared space.

It was exactly what they had dreamed! This went on for years with Chaos and Kaleb’s love for each other and the love of music kept the fire burning hot and the
magic growing and weaving itself into the very foundations of everything they built.

Growth, Change, and Legacy

Over months and then years, KastleRock evolved. New venues were added. Seasonal builds transformed the sim. October brought a full-sim Halloween experience. Winter became a Yule Festival rather than a traditional holiday theme, fitting the darker soul of the place.

There were incredible highs and inevitable lows. Through it all, Kaleb and Chaos protected the music and the community, keeping personal struggles from becoming public drama.

Today, KastleRock stands as the result of that collaboration.

Though Chaos is no longer involved in ownership or management, her spirit is permanently etched into the mountains, the architecture, and the atmosphere itself. Her influence remains undeniable, her passion and her personality will always be found here, Kaleb will not allow that to go away.

Kaleb continues forward. New plans are forming. Alliances are growing. Old friendships are rekindled. His love of Chaos has not changed and her visions and the
impression she made on Kaleb will always be honored here and she will always be welcome back to the KastleRock Family

The heartbeat has not faded.
It still pounds hard within these walls.
The Fire is still HOT and burning bright
The Magic is persistent and will never die out!
The Love that was shared is infused into every prim and mesh.
